The First Step Checking Account can also be utilized to build positive transaction history. Over a period of time, upon request, members can choose to transition into a First Harvest Free1 Checking Account.

First Harvest partners with MoneyEDU to make available free online financial education resource to members. Through MoneyEDU, members have access to:

- Track your financial health over time
Applicants who currently do not have an established membership at First Harvest Credit Union will be required to open a First Harvest Savings Account with a minimum deposit of $5.00 as a part of their First Step Checking Account application.
