Message from our CEO

 

Dear First Harvest Members:

I’m honored and excited to join the First Harvest family as your new CEO. Over the past couple of months, I have had the pleasure of meeting some of you as well as spending time getting to know our board members and staff. I have walked away from each encounter recognizing and appreciating the passion all of you have for our credit union.

Like many of you, I have spent my entire life in and around the South Jersey and Pennsylvania region and understand the uniqueness of the communities, schools and businesses that form the local landscape.

I recognize the last several years have produced some challenges for this credit union. We have faced staffing, and therefore, service issues that unfortunately have been felt throughout the industry. However, we’ve doubled down in building our platform for the future by creating a new brand, a new core system and a refreshed mobile app. Our team is focused on providing you with the best, up-to-date tech tools and services to enhance your banking experience.

From a historical perspective, credit unions were established to help members pool savings and make loans to neighbors and co-workers. I am proud to say that more than 83 years ago, this credit union was first created in Camden, NJ and today, we are still helping members meet their financial goals and objectives. So, while our name has changed and evolved over the years − from South Jersey Federal Credit Union to First Harvest − our commitment to serving our members has remained the same.

As your new CEO, I am committed to delivering to our valued members the very best products and services available in the marketplace today, whether it’s through our branches, our Sponsored Employee Groups or via our new and improved technology platforms, including our new app. 

I believe that First Harvest is the best kept secret in the regions we serve and I hope you discover the potential in our credit union to help you, your families or your business.

In the coming weeks, please be on the lookout for a member satisfaction survey. I hope you will take the time needed to complete it and return it to us so we can better understand your needs and learn where we can make improvements.
